Form A New Team

WANTED: New Team Formation
Start a New Soccer Team Today!

Established in 1991, the Central New Jersey Silver Bullets Soccer Club (CNJSB), based in East Brunswick, NJis committed to providing an opportunity for boys and girls between the ages of six and seventeen to participate and develop their potential in a high-quality and competitive soccer program.

The CNJSB Soccer Club is looking to grow its successful organization by adding new boys and girls teams for the upcoming soccer seasons.  CNJSB welcomes parents & coaches who want to start a new soccer team as well as welcomes existing teams looking to move to a new organization.  Our Board of Directors and volunteer staff will assist you every step of the way, from player selection to league registration to uniform purchases to training sessions and beyond.

Although the CNJSB Soccer Club is based in East Brunswick, NJ, new teams can come from any town in Middlesex County and may roster players from multiple towns, without limitations.  Current CNJSB teams play in MNJYSA, MAPS and JAGS, participate in State Cup and have recently been Champions & Finalists in regional tournaments like West Deptford Thanksgiving Tournament, Howell United Holiday Cup & MAPS/MSSL Winter Classic Tournament in Philadelphia, PA.

Successful youth soccer teams require active parent & volunteer leadership.  To begin the process of joining the CNJSB soccer club, please contact us at recruiting@cnjsb.org to set up a time to discuss your team's objectives with one of the club's leaders.

As a guide to help you in your decision to join the CNJSB Soccer Club, here are some details for your consideration.

Financial Parameters For a New Team:

Each CNJSB team sets its own budget so seasonal fees may vary, but the average team fees range from $200 to $400 per season.  With the addition of uniform accessories and tournaments, fees may increase, but each team has control over their budget.

The CNJSB Soccer Club has lower-than-average fees because of the exceptional amount of volunteerism throughout the club.  In order to keep costs down, new teams may be asked to volunteer to help set up the fields and assist with team and club functions.

Coaches & Trainers:

Each CNJSB team can decide what is best for them when it comes to coaching and training.  If a parent-coach is qualified to train the team and has obtained the necessary coaching license, then a paid-professional trainer might not be needed.  If a team would like to hire a professional trainer, the CNJSB Soccer Club will assist in helping the new team find the right trainer for the team, but ultimately the team will make the decision which trainer to hire.  The CNJSB Soccer Club's only requirement is that the trainer be licensed by a recognized professional soccer association.  The CNJSB Soccer Club features some of  best coaches in the region and these coaches are readily available for guidance and assistance to help the new teams get off to a successful start.

Age Group Definitions & Team Size for a New Team

The cut-off date for NJ State NJYSA (New Jersey Youth Soccer Association) age group is July 31. A child's age on July 31 determines his or her CNJSB age group. For example, if a boy or girl is 12 years old on July 31 then he must play in a U13 (or older) age group. The 'U13' designation means "under 13 years of age as of the end of July 31."

Any player is eligible to play in any older age group, skill and team permitting.  The safety of the player must always be considered.  Teams may have a maximum of 18 players and these players may live in any city in New Jersey Most teams have 15 or 16 players to allow sufficient playing time for most players; the rules, however, require no minimum amount of playing time for any player.

Soccer teaches us many life lessons, we hope you'll consider allowing the CNJSB Soccer Club help you start your journey today.
