CONGRATULATIONS TO GABRIELLA CARBONE
Congratulations to Gabriella Carbone, a member of the CNJSB U17 Wild Mustangs. Gabriella is a member of the NJ Olympic Development Program. This year NJ beat Maryland in the Semi Finals and New York in the Final. With it’s victories, the NJ team has become repeat Regional 1 Champions and now will try to repeat as National Champions.

HEATHER O'REILLY TRAINS THE CNJSB U13 WILDCATS
Heather O’Reilly visited and trained with CNJSB Wildcats u13 girls and CNJSB Rage U14 girls. Heather is a graduate of both Saint Bartholomew's School and East Brunswick High and North Carolina , 2 time Olympic Gold Medalist and current member of WPS Champion Sky Blue FC and U.S. Women’s National Team. This was a special event for the girls since Heather attend the same schools the girls are attending or will be attending.  
Heather was joined by Kendall Fletcher , teammate at North Carolina and now Sky Blue. After training and participating in soccer drill games , Heather and Kendall graciously stayed and signed autographs and took pictures with all of the participants as well as several other CNJSB teams who were in attendance.

U13 GIRLS CNJSB WILDCATS WIN THE 2010 EPIC TOURNAMENT
HELD IN YARDLEY-MAKEFIELD, PA
The U13 Girls CNJSB Wildcats participated in the 2010 EPIC TOURNAMENT in Yardley PA on May 8th and 9th. The team had a successful weekend. The girls played extremely well. In the Wildcats first game they defeated the Crusa Wizards of PAE.  3-0.  They continued  their outstanding play throughout the tournament winning their second game 3-2. with a win over Robbinsville NJ. The third game they shut out the YMS Leopards 7-0. Winning their bracket and advancing to the finals. In the finals the girls put together a  great performance. They played as a team and came away with a 2-0 win over the YMS Cheetahs. During tournament play the girls have been solid both offensively and defensively as their hard work has paid some dividends. CONGRATULATION CNJSB Wildcats 2010 EPIC TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS.
 
The Wildcats are looking to add a few experienced players to round out the team.

U14 GIRLS CNJSB RAGE WIN THE 2010 EPIC TOURNAMENT

NEW U8 GIRLS & BOYS TEAM TRYOUTS
The CNJSB Soccer Club would like to announce the forming of a new U8 Girls and a new U8 Boys team in the Fall of 2010. The teams will be based out of East Brunswick, but residents outside East Brunswick are encouraged come try out.  Both teams will play in a Fall and Spring league as well as attend 2 or 3 tournaments during the course of the year.  Practices will be held twice per week and once per week over the winter. The teams will be professionally trained.  If you are interested in trying out or have any questions please contact sbragecoach@comcast.net.  Tryouts will be held on Monday, May 24th and there will be an alternate date if needed on Wednesday, May 26th at Lawrence Brook from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Directions can be found on the Fields & Directions tab. Birthdates should fall between August 1st 2002 and July 31st 2003. If you are interested in trying out, please contact us to reserve your spot.

NEW U10 Girls Team Forming for Fall 2010
Coach Lou LaRocca is looking for players born between 8/1/2000 to 7/31/2001 to join a new U10 Girls team. The team will be trained by Corrado Carbone, a professional trainer currently training many competitive teams in NJ.  If you are interested in playing competitive soccer and receiving quality training, please contact Coach Lou LaRocca at lrock3692@aol.com

U12 (Fall 2010) BOYS OPEN TRYOUTS
The current U11 Boys team, CNJSB Blaze (U12 in the Fall) will be holding open tryouts.  Players birthdays must fall between Aug. 1st, 1998 & July 31st, 1999.  For dates & more information, please contact: Coach Helene (732-416-9772) or Coach Vinny (732-390-5993).

U12 (Fall 2010) GIRLS TRYOUTS
The current U11 CNJSB Girls Blue Lightning from East Brunswick (U12 in the Fall) will be holding tryouts on Monday May 24th from 6:30 to 8pm and Saturday May 29th  from 2:00 to 3:30pm at Lawrence Brook School in East Brunswick. All girls from East Brunswick and surrounding areas are welcome to tryout. We are professionally coached and trained. We compete in Mid-NJ and train through the winter. Girls birthdates must range from August 1st, 1998 to July 31st, 1999.

U14 (Fall 2010) BOYS TRYOUTS
The CNJSB Warriors (U14B) are looking to add players to their 2010 Fall roster. The U14B age range is for players born between August 1st, 1996 to July 31st, 1997.  All interested players can contact Vincent (732) 698 2249.

U15 (Fall 2010) GIRLS TRYOUTS
The current U14 Girls team, CNJSB Rage (U15 in the Fall) will be holding tryouts at their practice sessions during the month of May.  The Rage compete in the JAGS league, participate in state cup, and attend 5-7 tournaments a year.  They train through the winter and are professionally trained and coached. U16 (Fall 2010) BOYS TRYOUTS
The CNJSB Eagles (U16 in the Fall) will be holding tryouts at Lawrence Brook School on June 15th and 17th at 6:00 pm

U16 (Fall 2010) BOYS TRYOUTS
The 2010/11 Central Jersey Soccer Club U16 Boys Fury team will be holding try outs every Thursday evening this summer (Month of July 2010) at our small practice sessions. We have several roster positions available for the 2010-2011 season. 
The team is still looking for competitive/skilled players who can compete for a starting position. Our team strongly encourages a fun atmosphere with a strong team concept.
The Fury has experienced coaches who are dedicated to the squad and the game of soccer.

Field Directions and information can be found at http://cnjsb.org/aboutus.aspx The season will begin after the conclusion of the high school season in November but most likely around January 2011.The Fury is based out of the East Brunswick/South River area but ALL PLAYERS are welcomed. (Strongly Encouraged!) Our practices or games will take place at Lawrence Brook Elementary School or Heavenly Farms/ Dickerson Park in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
The team will play in high level tournaments and league play in Maps/MSSL including the New Jersey State Cup if feasible.
To be eligible at the U16 level players must be born between 08/01/1994 and 07/31/1995 but younger players can compete for roster positions and will be given a fair opportunity.

U17 (Fall 2010) BOYS TRYOUTS
CNJSB Porto (U17 in the Fall) will be holding tryouts at their practice sessions during the months of May & June.  Porto competes in MAPS, NJYS State Cup, US Club State Cup, College Showcase Tournaments & more. Porto trains through the winter and are professionally trained and coached. Porto is based out of East Brunswick. Players must be born between 8/1/1993 & 7/31/1994. WARRIORS WIN 2010 U13 BOYS WESTFIELD SOCCERPALACE WINTER LEAGUE
Congratulations to the Warriors who recently won the the 2010 Westfield Soccerpalace Winter League U13 Boys division. The team went undefeated during the season and finished a 7-0-1 record. The boys exhibited a high level of soccer that led them to out-score their opponents by an average of a 3 to 1 goal differential. The members of the team are Alex Caswell, Aaron Chandler, Alex Coward, Tyler Earl, Jonathan Franco, Robert Kern, Miguel Joao, Michael Levine, Felipe Lopes, Fabio Lucas, Ryan Mosser, Edwin O'Connor, Mark O'Leary and Jordan Perez.
 
The Warriors are currently looking to add two new players.

CNJSB U16 BOYS PORTO REACHES THE FINALS
IN THE 2010 MAPS SPRING CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT
Congratulations to the U16 Boys Porto for their accomplishments at the 2010 MAPS Spring Challenge Tourament.
Porto went undefeated in their first 3 games against 2 teams from New York and 1 team from Souht Jersey.
Porto went on to win thier semi-final game against a strong team from Pennsylvania.
The final game (the 5th of the weekend) proved to be the most competitive and Porto fell just short.
The coaches & parents could not be more proud of the players' accomplishments.

PARKING AT LAWRENCEBROOK SCHOOL & VETERANS FIELD IN SOUTH RIVER:
When playing games or practicing at Lawrence Brook School, please note that there is no parking allowed on the street (Hamlin) & cars will be ticketed. Please advise all parents that they should park in the parking lot behind the field.
 
When playing at Veterans Field in South River, please note that the through street is a residential area.  It is everyone's responsibility to drive safely, park respectfully and keep the area clean from litter.

U17 GIRLS CNJSB WILD MUSTANGS:

TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS 

 

 

The CNJSB Wild Mustangs U17 Girls team wins the Match Fit Thanksgiving day College Showcase tournament. Beating the Host team Match Fit 1-0 in the final game. The final match was 0-0 at half time. Kelly Brybag won a 50/50 ball at mid field and fed a pass to Gabriella Carbone who made a 40 yard diagonal run at the Matchfit defenses taking on and breaking down several Matchfit players on her way to goal finishing her run with a well placed left footed shot into the right corner of the goal. Both Gina Policastro and Sherry Li were called on to make spectacular saves to preserve the shutout.   

 

 The Mustangs did not allow a goal in tournament play.  A true team effort. Gina Policastro and Sherry Li combined for the 3 game shut outs. The defense in front of the keepers was solid made smart decisions and tackled well. The defense, Gabriella Fudali, Adrienne Mireau, Brittney Petrie, Lauren Drumm and Alyssa Sardone. Mid fielders Cristina Estremera (2 goals) , Krista Capelli, Samantha Petosa (1 goal), Kristen Cooney, Nicole Petrone and Soraya Selamie   were very active and worked hard on both sides of the ball. The forwards. Kelly Brybag, Gabriella Carbone ( 3 goals) Tori Oliva, and Yasmine Swanson  created several scoring chances.

TRYOUTS:

The CNJSB U11 Girls "Blue Lightning" is looking for additional girls to tryout for the team for indoor league play an the upcoming Spring season. Tryouts will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8PM in Veterans Park at Veterans Drive in South River during practices (Directions can be found on the "Fields & Directions" Tab. Please contact Coach Mik Bognar at coachmikb@yahoo.com if you are interested in coming to tryout. Girls interested must be born between 8/1/98 to 7/31/1999.


U14 GIRLS CNJSB RAGE: TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS 

Congratulations to the CNJSB Rage U14 girls for winning in the finals in the MAPS Fall Challenge Tournament this past weekend.  The Rage advanced to the finals by winning in the semi finals against TSF Academy Triumph by the score of 3 to 1 and then winning the championship game by beating Montgomery Force in the final by the score of 1 to 0.
The players on the Rage are Marlena Bevilacqua, Gillian Blewett, Taylor Brantley, Ashley Cafarella, Victoria DeLaHoz, Gabriella DiLiberto, Taylor Evanchik, Darcy Gallego, Rebecca Hager, Devon Himelman, Rachel Kaplan, Amber Kelly, Tori Kelner, Kayla Kennedy, Ronni Luftig, Katia Olsen, KiraRose Olsen, Samantha Stojanovski and guest playing was Nicky Raub. The Rage are coached by Brad Caruso and Herman DeLaHoz.


The U13 Girls CNJSB Wildcats participated in the MAPS Fall Challenge tournament on 11/14 & 11/15.

The team played with dedication & commitment which the players, parents & coaches were extremely proud of.  The Wildcats are currently looking to add a few field players and a goalie. The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program

6th Grader Marissa Kowalski was selected for the 97’ US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program final NJ State pool after an intense series of tryouts. Marissa is member of the Central New Jersey Silver Bullets (CNJSB) U-13 Wildcats Team that participates in JAGS/MAPS League play.


Gina Policastro is goalie for the U17 CNJSB Wild Mustangs also was selected to the 93’ US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program Final NJ State pool.


CNJSB soccer club now has 3 active members to achieve this goal.


Gabriella Carbone ODP 94’ , CNJSB U17 Wild Mustangs girls and CNJSB Porto u16 boys. Gabriella’s NJ ODP team is Regional 1 2009/2010 champs. Beating New York in the semi finals and Maryland in the finals. The NJ ODP team will be playing in the National finals in Phoenix Arizona, March 2010.

The Wildcats and the Wild Mustangs teams are trained by Corrado Carbone.


The ODP is used to identify and select players for the state, regional and national soccer teams.  Playing abilities and qualities such as ball control, technical speed, awareness, and work rate skills were evaluated during a series of short, small-sided play and games at the four tryouts.  The ODP evaluators are current instructors of the New Jersey Youth Soccer Coaching School programs, current and former professional soccer players or coaches, current or former college soccer coaches and nationally licensed coaches. 


The CNJSB Supplies Ball Boys & Ball Girls to the East Brunswick High School

This week, players from the CNJSB Blaze, Wildcats and Rage served as ballboys & ball girls for the EBHS JV and Varsity Boys and Girls soccer games.  This is yet another demonstration of the commitment that the CNJSB Soccer Club has to support the EBHS Soccer program. Thank you & Congratulations to all the CNJSB players who participated in these games.
